Sun TV Signal Blocked in Mainland China

In its latest move in a campaign of media crackdown the Chinese Communist Party—or CCP—has blocked the broadcast signal of Hong Kong-based Sun TV.
Starting December 5, Sun TV headquarters began receiving calls from subscribers in the Mainland, complaining they could no longer receive the channel.
Sun TV representatives have acknowledged their signal is being blocked in mainland China, and they don’t know why. They say Sun TV did not receive any warning or explanation from the Ministry of Public Security or any other arm of the Chinese regime.
There is speculation the CCP censors decided to block Sun’s broadcast in response to its talk shows, featuring political commentary that’s increasingly critical of CCP rule.
Sun TV’s broadcast in Hong Kong has not been affected.
