Pictures taken on Tuesday the 25th show people carrying their belongings across the border.
Kokang is home to many ethnic Chinese and Chinese nationals, many of whom run businesses and trade across the border.
Earlier Chinese reports said that close to 10,000 people have crossed into Yunnan Province to escape the fighting.
