China: Snow Causes Chaos in Central & Eastern China

According to China state-run television, heavy snowfall and plummeting temperatures in recent days across Hubei and Anhui provinces… have led to accidents and forced the closure of main roads.
Accidents on icy roads near Hubei’s Yichang City caused traffic jams that lasted six hours into the early hours of the morning.
“I’m trying to go home. I’ve already waited for five hours.”
According to Chinese state-run news, snowstorms led to the relocation of over 2,000 residents after over 1,000 houses collapsed in Hubei and Anhui provinces.
The worst snowfalls on record in Anhui grounded planes and completely closed the airport in provincial capital Hefei for three hours on Monday, November 16th. 2,000 travelers were affected.
