In celebration of Friendship Day, kindergarten children from a local play school tied ribbons to animals, plants and trees in the Tata Zoological Gardens of Jamshedpur in India’s eastern Jharkhand state on Sunday the 2nd.
The zoo invited the children to join in Friendship Day celebrations.
The teachers say that celebrating Friendship Day with animals and plants will help children be more interested in nature.
The tiny children tied ribbons of different colors around several animals like the rabbits and ducks.Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August.
The trend started in 1935 when the United States Congress proclaimed the first Sunday of August as the National Friendship Day.
