In today’s Market Report… Asian shares flirted with two-month highs before easing slightly.
Japan’s Nikkei declined, with a fall in the Euro accelerating investor profit-taking.
Toyota shares dipped after it told U.S. safety regulators that it’s considering how to fix nearly 1.2 million Corolla and Matrix models that risk stalling because of electronic system flaws.
The automaker has been plagued by a slew of safety issues—forcing it to recall some eight-and-a-half million vehicles because of a variety of defects.
And China Mobile rose after it reported its best quarterly profit in a year, as Chinese consumers began spending more on phone services.
