A retired U.S. Air Force pilot took his whole family to see Shen Yun at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
[Betty Tipmonjkol, Wife of Retired Pilot]:
“Well, I love all the flowing costumes. Everything is just beautiful and they dance so elegantly. Everything is just very smooth and it’s just amazing. Beautiful costumes. Absolutely gorgeous. My favorite was the flowing sleeves. Oh beautiful.”
[Mr. Tipmonjkol, Retired Pilot]:
“Just the synchronization. The way everything kind of flowed together.  And the way that the music and the dance kind of went together and told the story. I was very, very impressed with that.”
[Mr. Tipmonjkol, Retired Pilot]:
“Well it is like they just tried to show the fact that the goal of life is to try to live in balance and harmony and achieve peace through…and believing that there is a higher power. And I think that those are the universal messages that resonate.”
[Mr. Tipmonjkol, Retired Pilot]:
“… just from the spectacle of it in seeing their performance, but also to get an insight into some Chinese culture as well. It was very enlightening for me.”
