A German zoo in Braunschweig introduced Siberian tiger quadruplets to the public on Wednesday.
Tiger mother “Nina” gave birth to her four offspring on June 5. The zoo’s veterinarian says they are doing well.
Zoo keeper Anja Schildhauer recalled how they were born very early in the morning.
[Anja Schildhauer, Zoo Keeper]:
“When my colleague arrived, three were already born and a little later, number four arrived. The mothers give birth on their own and it’s never a problem.”
This is the second time for Nina to be a mother, and the father “Jelzin” is very affectionate to his four girls too.
[Anja Blankenburg, Zoo Veterinarian]:
“You never get used to it and it’s cute every single time. I think it will stay that way for the next 10 or 20 years.”
Feeling warm and fuzzy over baby felines may never go out of style.
